Dr. Jacob Olupona

Founder, Chairman and CEO

Dr. Jacob Olupona is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Olupona Foundation for Education, Equality and Peace. Dr. Olupona is Professor of African Religious Traditions at the Harvard Faculty of Divinity and Faculty of Arts and Sciences, with a joint appointment as Professor of African and African American. He holds BA from University of Nigeria as well as a MA and PhD from Boston University.


Dr. Tolulope Olupona


Dr. Tolulope Olupona is the Foundation’s Treasurer. She is a degreed Psychatrist who owns her private practice in New York City, NY. She holds BS in Biochemistry from University of California, Davis as well as a MD from New York University School of Medicine where she did her residency in Adult Psychiatry.


Busayo Olupona


Busayo Olupona is the Foundation’s Secretary. She is an attorney and entrepreneur who received her B.S. from the Haas School of Business at U.C Berkeley and her J.D from New York University. She worked for many years as corporate associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP., where she seconded to Lawyers Alliance for New York, advising non profits on a variety of matters including corporate governance, real estate, employment and tax compliance matters.


Dr. Isaac Akintunji

Board Member

Dr. Isaac Akinsefunmi Akintunji is an active member of the Foundation’s Board of Director. He is the Executive Director-Operations & Medical Services at Clearline International Limited (HMO). He attended the Federal School of Science, Lagos. He is an active member of the Nigerian Medical Association and the American Association of Physican Leadership.
